Sprayground and Wading Pools, Updated for 2010!

I know it's super late, but here's the Sprayground/Wading Pool map all updated for 2010.

The Wright Park sprayground is a work in progress, and Franklin's update should take place this year. Hopefully, a new sprayground will open there next fall and there won't be any gap between wading pool removal and sprayground installation as there was at Wright.

McKinley Park Facelift

Wow! This is going to be one amazing park, playground and skate park. It's already finished enough to stop by and play a while. (Just be very respectful of the new grass seed, or Metro Parks might have to fence it off.) mckinley park The big kid and I took a little trip up there today, for a walk along the nicely paved path (mud free and perfect for a rainy day). I couldn't get a good shot of the view, but it's worth a trip just to walk along the path and see Tacoma from a different angle.

McKinley Playfield (186 Good Days in Tacoma)

McKinley Playfield (which is not McKinley Park)has a brand new sprayground, just opened this week. The official sprayground grand opening celebration takes place at this park today, from 1 to 4 pm. This sprayground is a bit bigger than the one at Jefferson Park, and was quite a bit more crowded when we visited this Tuesday.
