Kid's Yoga Camp Source Yoga's North Tacoma studio

In this camp, kids will experience yoga in a fun-loving environment while discovering more about themselves throughout their journey. Each day we will explore a blend of yoga and art designed to cultivate creativity, self-respect, respect for others and our planet. We will learn yoga poses, play games, create art, tell stories and most of all, have fun! Please pack a snack for your child as we will be taking a short snack break each day.

Birth: A Hero's Journey, at Source Yoga's North Tacoma Studio

In this workshop, Megan Sukys will teach participants how the process of giving birth follows the classic hero's journey of myth and classic literature. Each participant will have the chance to recount the significant moments of their birth experience, develop the key elements into an engaging story and share it. Participants will receive an archival recording of the story they develop in the workshop.

KOMO television may be unavailable on Click! Cable TV at year’s end

Click! Cable TV is in negotiations to continue offering KOMO and KUNS to its customers.

Click! has not reached an agreement with Fisher Communications, the owner and operator of KOMO and KUNS, so it has an obligation to notify its customers of the potential of not  carrying KOMO and KUNS starting Jan. 1.

“We will continue to work with Fisher Communications to reach an agreement,” said Click! Network Manager Tenzin Gyaltsen. “We have a responsibility to our customers to pay fair pricing for these stations, and right now, we’re not there.”

Model Train Festival at Washington State History Museum

Just in time for the holiday season, the Washington State History is holidng its 17th Annual Model Train Festival, extended through Christmas for the first time and offering new attractions. Held at the history museum, located at 1911 Pacific Avenue, the festival will take over every floor to create the largest permanent model train layout in the state.

Walk Fantasy Lights this Sunday

Kick off the holiday season this Sunday with a sneak, non-motorized preview of the 18th annual Fantasy Lights at Spanaway Park.

This is the only opportunity to walk through the Northwest's largest drive-through holiday lights display. The walk provides a close-up preview of more than 300 animated displays and thousands of lights along the winding route through the forested park on the shore of Lake Spanaway.

Flu season and you: Avoid getting sick with the flu shot
