JobBait presents new way to go in job search

TACOMA – Writing a letter instead of sending a typical resume might shorten the time it takes to find a job.

So says Mark Hovind, president of JobBait.com. A value-proposition letter instead of a typical resume can attract the attention of those who make hiring decisions. Hovind should know – he’s worked  in a variety of positions from engineer to CEO. Hovind has partnered with Tacoma Goodwill in focusing job searches.

REACH Center open house Nov. 3 offers services

At-risk young adults, program providers can see what’s available

TACOMA – Tacoma’s REACH Center will hold an open house Nov. 3 that will focus on services for at-risk young adults and partnership opportunities for program providers.

The REACH Center is located on the first two floors of Tacoma Goodwill’s Milgard Work Opportunity Center, 714 S. 27th St., Tacoma. The event is free and will take place from 3:30-5 p.m. There will be entertainment and a presentation for all visitors at 4 p.m.
