Tomorrow the Lakewood farmers market is returning for its second season. The opening day ceremony will kick off with a ribbon cutting and feature Mayor Don Anderson as well as the market’s presenting sponsor, St. Clare Hospital.
The market runs every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the City Hall plaza, located at 6000 Main Street SW in Lakewood, Wash. from June 4 through September 17. New this year, there will be two extended market days on July 30 and September 10 when the market will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Join the City of Lakewood for the grand opening on June 4 and receive a free reusable market bag with a purchase from any of the market vendors, while supplies last, and enjoy live entertainment provided by The Intrusions; a local jazz ensemble.
The Lakewood Farmers Market is a great place to take the family. Fresh produce, delicious treats and beautiful crafts provide a little something for everyone. This season, the City of Lakewood has added themed days, live entertainment, demos and lots of community fun. Entertainment is sponsored by WSECU.
