Trick or Treating & Halloween Day Fun

Your Neighborhood
Where is the best Trick or Treating in Tacoma? How about your neighborhood? Trick or Treating in your own neighborhood is a great way to get to know your neighbors and give your kids fond memories that will last a lifetime. We usually stand on the corner and watch them go up and ring doorbells. Grab a couple of flashlights and go have fun. Most Trick or Treat horror stories are urban legends. They might make good ghost stories for the media to trot out from time to time, but they aren't real.

Greatest Hits
Where are the most outrageously decorated Halloween Houses in Tacoma? We did some driving recently and came up with a few. Here's Part I and Part II of our adventure. Keep in mind, they are spread out all over the area.

Other Neighborhoods
If your neighborhood doesn't have very many children, or Trick or Treating is not customary there, we recommend: The area from N Alder to N Steele Streets, Betwen N 21st (I) and 6th Avenue, in the North End. Houses are close together, car traffic is low, and the area is filled with Trick or Treaters as soon as the sun goes down. In the South End, there's great Trick or Treating in the area between Fort Steilacoom and the town of Steilacoom itself, in Lakewood.
