venue for my son's 2nd birthday

I am looking for a party place for my son whose birthday falls on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, whenever we invite guests, they are always busy doing their own thing because of the holiday season.

I am seeking for any ideas or suggestions when we can hold a birthday party for him and where. I just want the guests that we will invite to be there.

Please scratch off McDonald's, Chucke C, and the Children's Museum (that's where we held his 1st birthday.)

Thanks a lot to those who will reply. You are a heaven sent!

Are you trying to have the party on Christmas Day, or would you consider another time?

There aren't too many places open that day. My daughter's birthday is just after New Year's and we usually celebrate it towards the end of January to give people a chance to get past the holiday craziness.

Odyssey-1 is pretty painless if you want to have a big playtime bash. Not on Christmas day, though.

If you aren't set on having it right at Christmas, how about the Children's Museum's Gingerbread Jamboree? It is held at the Hotel Murano the Sunday after Thanksgiving and the following Sunday (the 7th of Dec). Houses are $35 each but you can easily have several kids working on one house (with parents help). Also, the North Gym at the YMCA (where the tumbling tots classes are held) is GREAT. I had more than one of my children's 2 year old party there and it's pretty inexpensive (around $65 for 2 hours).

Best of luck!

We had my daughter's b-day at Hello Cupcake, it was awesome. Probably a litle "girlier" as the party room is very pretty, but each kid gets 2 cupcakes and all the fixins to decorate them....the boys at the party seemed to enjoy it as much as the girls. There is a big chalkboard for the kids to draw and did I mention it's super-affordable? Plus, everyone there was so nice.
Good luck!

The Children's Museum is also offering private gingerbread house making parties at the Museum during the holidays. It could be a great bday party or a really fun family christmas party. i think the info will be up on their site soon!

Pump it Up or Odyssey. Also, I would suggest having the "friend" party on a different day, but do something special to celebrate with family on the actual day. Then he gets more turnout for his fun party and 2 special days.

The Morgan Family YMCA (6th and Pearl). Even if your not a member you can rent the huge back tumbling room for around $60. It is AWESOME for toddlers up to 5ish.
Have fun!
