A Halloween Blitz This Week...

...Yet the first big Christmas season event is also next weekend. How can this be? I'm not ready to think about the next holiday (which is actually Thanksgiving) yet, but for The Good of The Blog, I've put up the Christmas Pages at tacomamama.com/christmas. The Holiday Food & Gift Festival takes place this Wednesday through Sunday at the Tacoma Dome. Really, really early! But, they do have free on-site childcare so I'm pretty tempted to go, anyway. Now I understand why every media outlet can't seem to shut up about "blah blah blah holiday" "blah shopping" "blah, now! OMG you're too late!" from October 15th on. If you spend enough time researching this stuff it starts to seem Really Important.

Anyway...

It's October, people, so let's get back to Halloween. There's a full week of events taking place all over town, check out the calendar to your right, or visit the Halloween Pages for a complete list.

In non-Holiday related news, the Nisqually Stream Stewards are seeking help with their Red Salmon Creek planting this coming Saturday and Sunday. Visit their calendar listing for more information.

Also this coming weekend: Abundance, the Emergency Food Network's annual dinner party and auction. Tickets are $50 per person.

There's definitely an abundance of things to do this week! I hope everyone gets out to at least a few of them.

Have a great week!
