Forza Coffee Company (250 Good Days in Tacoma: Local Coffee Success Story)

OK, there are a few coffee success stories around here. But if "success" means establishing a solid business based on a quality product and nice atmosphere and turning that into a franchise, Forza Coffee company is pretty successful right now. So much so, that I didn't realize they were a local chain, based in Gig Harbor with 15 locations in the South Sound region.

I almost vetoed a stop at the Forza on N Pearl St. today, because I thought they were a national chain. Now I don't feel so guilty about my love for their drive-throughs and frappes. They also sell coffee cards, (the electronic gift card kind, not the hole punch kind) which has come in handy on a couple of occasions.

Today we stopped into the store on Pearl St. for a couple of coffee drinks, a delicious chicken ceasar delivered fresh from Joeseppi's next door, and a danish. Everything was up to their usual quality standard, although my husband's breve could have used a little more cream. (Keep in mind this comes from a man who consumes two quarts of cream a week) The atmosphere was comfy enough that an older gentlemen was sleeping soundly on the couch the entire time we were there. I guess he had decaf.

Omigosh. You're making me drool. Joeseppi's Caesar salads are my absolute favorite. Best Caesar salad EVER in my book, hands down. You can also find Joeseppi's salads and sandwiches at Cavannaugh's Coffee on Cheyenne and 41st. Yum. (Forza's nice, too, but not walkable from my house ... I heart Joeseppi's.) -- AML

I LOVE their sandwiches too! I am a firm lover of Forza. It's so easy for me to go there and curl up with a book and lose myself for a few hours!
