Federal Way Community Center Pool

The Federal Way Community Center has a killer "leisure pool," not unlike the Stewart Heights aquatics center in Tacoma--except it's indoors, and they're running on a special schedule this week (3/30-4/5/09) for kids on spring break! The young 'uns  I went there today, where the kids were excited to see a huge water slide, a "lazy river," a water playground, etc. We'd been to the YMCA in Gig Harbor, which has a few similar features, but it was pretty chilly in there. This place was warmer, and my youngest was able to go into the hot tub with me to warm up (as he always gets very cold when he's swimming, even in warm weather). Altogether a worthwhile trip to F-Way for a day, and a nice surprise for the kiddies during their spring break.
