The Stadium Way Arterial Improvement project construction starts tomorrow. On Saturday June 23, North 1st Street and North ‘E’ Street will be closed by 7 a.m. and construction will start by 9 a.m.  There will be no work underway on Sunday.

On Monday morning construction on Commerce Street will start at 7 a.m. Traffic on Commerce Street will be one-way southbound (toward downtown) during the duration of the work. The public can expect to see ‘No-Park’ signs on the street before then and detours will be in place before there are road closures.

This phase of work includes removal of the existing pavement, upgrades to street lighting, new sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and other utilities, new pavement, and sidewalks and pedestrian crossings with improvements to Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility, landscaping, bike lanes and other Complete Streets concepts.
