This year's Christmas Revels is a 19th century English celebration - a celebration that is the grandparent of our own holiday. Here is a world of wondrous and worrisome new technologies; a world in which time is money due to the telegraph's quick relay of information; a world of great riches and deep poverty. Sound familiar? Through music hall hilarity, a new take on Scrooge, “shocking” new dances like the mazurka and the polka, magnificent Victorian anthems, familiar carols, children's stories and songs and more, you'll discover a joyous and timeless celebration for all ages.
