Cavanaugh's Coffee (299 Good Days in Tacoma)
Submitted by admin on
Last week, when I was hanging out with Tacomachickadee she mentioned this new-fangled technology called "wifi," whereby people can actually leave their homes and use their laptops at various places around town.
Thinking I would try out this new invention, I headed out to Cavanaugh's Coffee, on N 41st and Cheyenne. Cavanaugh's is a great little neighborhood place, with just a few tables and comfy chairs. The pumpkin pie latte was a welcome rarity at this time of year, and they had a nice collection of pastries and cookies. (None of which I can eat, but they looked good!)
Unfortunately, the whole "wifi" business didn't work out. My wireless adapter has been through way too much and only chooses to work in one particular spot in the house these days, it wasn't having anything to do with anyone else's connection. I have it on good authority that the wifi at Cavanaugh's works just fine for everyone else.
Still, it was a great place to read a newspaper and take a break. Everyone seemed to know everyone else there, and I get the impression people get to know each other pretty quickly at Cavanaugh's.

This is a great place to go. It is in walking distance from our house and we love to go there. The staff is so friendly.
