Are You Looking for a Job or Starting a Small Business?

New, free services just opened to help people who are looking for work or maybe done with looking for a job and are now planning to start their own business. Pierce County Library System is opening Job and Business Centers at six of its libraries. At the centers you can work on computers in spaces set up just for people looking for jobs or small business centers. The centers have books and other materials and professional staff to help you. You can also get online help with writing a resume and talking online with professional job coaches who will critique your interview skills—you can do this from your home computer or at the library.

The Job and Business Centers are now open at Gig Harbor, Lakewood, Parkland/Spanaway Pierce County Library, and South Hill Pierce County Libraries. Later this summer a center will open at Sumner Pierce County Library, and in 2011 a center will open at the new University Place Pierce County Library.
