After yesterday's visit to Tricky's, I was in a holiday shopping mood and thought I'd go check out Dragonfly, a new(ish) store in the dome district. They're closed on Mondays, so I wandered around in Freighthouse Square instead.
My first stop was Crescent Moon Gifts, a store that's grown from a hole in the wall to something of an anchor tenant. Crescent Moon is the sort of place that sells fairy sculptures, incense, and "metaphysical supplies" but that doesn't have to be your thing to find some great stuff there. I was thinking about stocking stuffers, and bought a couple of geodes and some "fairy sparkle" quartz for the kids. Right next to the stones they have an assortment of inexpensive little decorative bags for your rock collection.
Other finds include beautiful chandelier candle holders, belly dancing supplies, ornate sundials, and massage oils. They've also got a nice little assortment of pirate gear, just in time for Halloween, First Night (Year of the Pirate!) and Tall Ships '08. If you're looking for a small, personal gift Crescent Moon is a great place to start.
