Zeit Bike Ride/Seek Letterpress

Location: Tacoma Art Museum, 1701 Pacific Ave., Tacoma, WA

Local artists, including Beautiful Angle, Wayzgoose, and Stadium High School students, will unveil letterpress posters inspired by spokes, frames, and chains. Also view "Bill Cunningham New York," a documentary about the Schwinn-riding photographer behind the NYTimes weekly "On the Street Fashion." Admission is free as part of Third Thursday.

I am... Late Night Thursday Photo Project

I am... Late Night Thursday Photo Project was created by the Tacoma Art Museum in partnership with The Telephone Room Gallery. HIDE/SEEK: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture, a controversial exhibit, on display now at Tacoma Art Museum which its focus is on identity in how society perceive us and how we perceive us.

The Tacoma Art Museum is asking visitors to complete the sentence "I am..." with what ever word they would like to describe themselves.

Tacoma Poet Laureate Hosts Reading at Museum of Glass

In celebration of National Poetry Month, Tacoma Poet Laureate Josie Emmons Turner hosts a special reading Sunday, April 15 at 3:00 p.m. at the Museum of Glass featuring Washington State Poet Laureate Kathleen Flenniken, with poets Rick Barot, and Michael Schmeltzer.

Zeit Bike: Bike Racket

Come see innovative bicycle racks designed and fabricated by local artist and metalsmith, Jennifer Weddermann-Hay, at the venerable Tacoma Art Museum. The racks will be permanently installed on the future Prairie Line Trail. Admission is free as part of Third Thursday.

Victoria Adams is an American contemporary landscape painter working in oil and wax on linen.

She finds inspiration for her primary subject matter—the sky, the land, and deep atmospheric space—in the weather and views of the Pacific Northwest, where she lives and works on Vashon Island.
