Wright Park's newly designed playground and sprayground have been in the works for years, but they have been worth the wait. My children, both wading pool evangelists, have mourned the loss of the city's deepest wading pool since the city took it out two summers ago. 
All that bitterness fled this weekend when they ran down the hill from the conservatory to see the work of modern art that replaced the old wading pool, a mini version of the Seattle Center fountain accompanied by a gorgeous and very well thought out playground.
