Midland Cooperative Preschool (ages 1-3)

This is a great school for 1-3 year olds and parents! I took my older daughter through for the 1s and 2s class and am back for my second year with my 2 year old. This is a sweet school that is very unique. You attend once a week with your child and stay with them for the 2 hours. And! for 1 one of those hours you get to have a parent education discussion in an adjoining room. This was the best part for me as a first time mom. The kids play while you talk! They can come in and check in with you whenever they want. The preschool has been around for over 20 years and has loads of great materials including a sensory table, a big play kitchen, a reading nook, and lots of manipulatives.

Kids Yoga-Paint-Dance Workshop

"Swan Creek Eco-Explorers" Day Camp

Join naturalists, wildlife biologists, and other nature specialists in exploring Swan Creek Park.  Get ready to hike the trails and have hands-on experiences through investigations, fun games, and activities.  Enjoy a Friday evening ice cream social with your family as you discover the night skies and noctural life in the park.  This camp is for kids ages 12-14 and is $180 per camper.  It takes place at Swan Creek Park.  Please register for this camp at the Tacoma Nature Center at (253) 591-6439.

"Little Explorers: Wild About Wetlands

Frogs and crayfish, minnows and ducks - learn how they live deep in the muck!  We'll try to stay dry as we explore the natural wetland wonders at Adriana Hess Wetland Park!  This camp is for children 4-6 years old and is $90 per camper.  Please choose from the following dates: July 19-July 21 OR August 23-August 25.  This camp takes place at the Adriana Hess Wetland Park in University Place.  Please register for it at the Tacoma Nature Center at (253) 591-6439.
