Montessori Rocks! is a dance/concert event which will take place at Tacoma’s historic Landmark Convention Center. The event will feature the lively music of Daryl & the Diptones. This amazing group has been playing 60’s and 70’s rock ‘n’ roll for over twenty years. Donating their gift of music to the beneficiaries of their choice, they have raised over $2 million for local charities. The group was honored with the City of Destiny award in the “Community Group” category in 2005. We are grateful to have them as the epicenter of our efforts to raise money for public Montessori education in Tacoma.

The Christmas Revels

This year The Christmas Revels features music, dance and folklore from old Bavaria.  Sankt Nikolaus and his sometimes alarming, always unpredictable helper Knecht Rupprecht join the large Revels cast in their jolly annual assignment to drive the dark away.  This high-spirited concoction of folk tradition and high art

Peter Fletcher, classical guitarist at the Main Library

Award-winning classical guitarist and recording artist Peter Fletcher began guitar study at the age of 7 under classical guitar instructor John Sutherland. In December, 1983, he made his formal debut at the age of fifteen under the auspices of The Brasstown Concert Association in North Carolina. Fletcher has studied extensively with world renowned classical guitarists such as Jose Tomas, David Leisner, David Russell, Oscar Ghiglia and Pepe Romero. In 1995, he received the Master of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music under Nicholas Goluses, and was twice the recipient of an Eastman Graduate Award.

Seattle Mandolin Orchestra - The Italian Concert

Led by Artistic Director and Conductor Joseph White, the Seattle Mandolin Orchestra exists to preserve, promote, and extend America’s mandolin ensemble tradition. The orchestra features the entire mandolin family of instruments, including mandolin, mandola, mandocello, and mandobass.

The Seattle Mandolin Orchestra is dedicated to revitalizing the mandolin ensemble and expanding its repertoire through commissions and arrangements. The orchestra's repertoire encompasses baroque, classical, jazz, and folk traditions.
