Getting Ready for First Night, Tonight!

We're charging up the camera, swigging caffeinated soda and getting ready to head downtown for the biggest event of the year: First Night!

Our first year in Tacoma we had an amazing time at First Night 2005. I've been volunteering with the organization since 2007, and it has been so amazing to see our New Year's Eve festival roar back to life.

Come join this hands-on workshop and make your own procession lantern. Made with balloons and paper mache', this workshop is great for families. Kids 5 and up are welcome with an adult. All materials provided

Santa Comes to Old Town, With Amazing Tree Lighting Video!

100 or so revelers lined up outside Job Carr Cabin last night to witness the lighting of the Old Town Christmas Tree, drink hot cocoa, visit with Santa, and generally run around and get muddy at Old Town Park.

New Year's Eve is traditionally tough for families, but Tacoma does the holiday right—with an all ages festival and celebration of the arts, right in the heart of downtown.

Trick-o-Treating and Fall Fun

Wilcox Farms Harvest Fest 09

Come join our family at the Wilcox Farm for our annual Harvest Fest, October 3rd from 10:00am-4:00pm. Free admission and fun for the whole family. Presentations by Food Alliance, Oregon Tilth, Salmon Safe, NW Certified Forests and Drum and Dance by the Nisqually Tribe.
