creative instruction for children

Tacoma Art Place i(TAP) is open to all yet we rarely see any children!  Research tells us that art, even more than sports, keeps children interested in learning and they do better in school when they have access to creative outlets.

TAP has some free film production classes for students running right now (posted under events) and regularly has classes for all ages.  We also have a video contest running...last year one of the winners was only 14!  If sponsorship is needed due to cost just ask one of our volunteers how that works for membership and classes.  We hope to see you soon!

Music Begins at Birth

As parents, we have all heard and read that music has a profound impact on a child's development. We are often told that music enhances math performance or other scholastic endeavors. However, the majority of the benefits of early music exposure are much more personal.
