Birthday Parties

Birthday Party Venues

I have made this post a sticky. Please add your birthday party venue suggestions in the comments.

If you are fortunate to have a child with a summer birthday, parks are always your best bet. If that is not an option, here are some local alternatives to the Big Cheese or the Big M:

Odyssey 1

Free Bounce Houses for Food Donations!

Homes on the Sound of Federal Way is letting local kids use the company’s gigantic inflatable “bounces houses” for birthday parties. All the company asks in return is that the kids—or their parents—donate canned and non-perishable food to the St. Leo Food Connection in Tacoma.

Homes on the Sound's David Berg came up with the idea after hearing about a Texas company offering a similar trade.

“I hadn’t heard of anybody doing it in this area and I just thought it would be great idea,” he said.

Dance Birthday Parties

Action Dance and Performing Arts Academy offers the a fun birthday parties where the children also learn and improve their self confidence.

Our parties consist of a 45-minute dance class of your choice (ballet, ballroom, hip hop, tap, jazz, lyrical and many more) and 45-minutes in our party area with one of our staff members, for cake, drinks, and gift opening. Plus a gift certificate for each child good for one complementary dance class of their choice. (15-minutes at the beginning and end of your party are for leisurely greetings and good-byes). You may request any of our instructors. We will check to see if they are available.

Our price is $115.00 for 5 children (minimum).

$5.00 for each additional child (12 maximum).

2 year old birthday party

I am trying to figure out something to do for my son's birthday. He turns two on May 29th and I want to have a party outside of our house because it's small and I don't want to deal with the mess. Anyway, last year we went to Round Table on Pearl and that worked great. This year my concern is keeping the kids entertained without overstimulation. Round Table doesn't really have the space for a handful of wild toddlers. Weather may be a concern too considering the unpredictiveness we have to deal with around here. Any ideas? I just want something fun and enjoyable for adults too.

venue for my son's 2nd birthday

I am looking for a party place for my son whose birthday falls on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, whenever we invite guests, they are always busy doing their own thing because of the holiday season.

I am seeking for any ideas or suggestions when we can hold a birthday party for him and where. I just want the guests that we will invite to be there.

Please scratch off McDonald's, Chucke C, and the Children's Museum (that's where we held his 1st birthday.)

Thanks a lot to those who will reply. You are a heaven sent!

Hello Cupcake - A Great Place for a small party

Welcome to Chuck e Cheese, Now Gimme All Yer Money

I love my kids. How much do I love my kids? Enough to grant my daughter's greatest birthday wish, a visit to Chuck E Cheese. (On a Saturday!) Chuck E Cheese has been carefully designed to become too expensive as soon as children become old enough to really enjoy it.

(7! How did she get to be 7?)

There's a reason we don't go too often. That reason has nothing to do with how much fun the kids have. They freakin love the place. No, that would have more to do with spending $65 in an hour and a half, and not even eating a complete meal.
