Update: Pierce Transit Preservation Plan Would Preserve Service to SAMI, Point Defiance, Improve North End Service

In response to a general thumbs down to their first "growth" proposal, Pierce Transit today released the details of their new proposed "preservation alternative," which would, in exchange for a slight tax increase, preserve and improve service in key areas of the city including the North end and downtown.

Anyone else have a dog who is an escape artist?

I have a german shepard/malamute mix. He is 2 and quite possibly is the smartest dog on Earth, but not for his own good.

Tacoma School Levy Campaign Kicks Off As Schools Face Potential 8.3% Reduction in State Funding

This Saturday, more than 200 people crowded in to a meeting room at Urban Grace Church to kick off the 2010 School Levy Campaign. On February 9th, Tacoma voters will decide the fate of 22% of the district's operating budget, as well as capital levy funding for construction or renovation of three schools, and small projects throughout the district.
